Job Shadow Day

Job Shadow Day

Job Shadow Day is an academically motivating activity designed to give high school juniors and seniors the unique opportunity of an up-close look at the world of work and provide the answer to the commonly asked question, “Why do I have to learn this?” Locally, the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce work with Thibodaux High School and E. D. White Catholic High School and the business community to provide the opportunity for students to see firsthand how the skills learned in school relate to the workplace. Job Shadowing is lead by the National Job Shadow Coalition and is held across the country on Ground Hog Day.

Students who participate are partnered with a professional in a career area that the student thinks is a possible career choice.

If you would like to participate in Job Shadow Day or for more information, please contact Info@ThibodauxChamber.com.
