The work of the Chamber is accomplished through the work of two major standing committees that are made up of business volunteers.
Public Affairs Committee:
Members of this committee work to address issues of quality of life for the residents and businesses of the City of Thibodaux and the surrounding areas. The work of the committee contains three major categories:
- Economic Development Issues
- Infrastructure including local and state highways, waterways, airports, communication infrastructure, et.
- Business Development
- Workforce Development
- Community Development
- Education Concerns
- Health Care Services
- Tourism, conventions, seminars, community enrichment programs, retirement opportunities
- Beautification and Downtown Revitalization
- Governmental Issues
- Legislative Affairs -City, Parish, State and National issues that affect local business
- Voter Awareness
- Sponsor of Public Forums and Debates
