Students planning to attend Louisiana Public Schools for the first time are required to have the following information: birth certificate; proof of immunization; and eye, ear and dental exams. Higher Education

The City of Thibodaux is home to an outstanding university and technical college. Why drive anywhere else when higher education is in your backyard? Within 100 miles of Thibodaux, there are 11 four-year universities and 5 two-year colleges.

Nicholls State University is located in the heart of Cajun Country an area rich in tradition and culture. The 210 acre campus, once part of historic Acadia Plantation, fronts on Bayou Lafourche about 50 miles southwest of New Orleans and 60 miles southeast of Baton Rouge. Louisiana Technical College: Lafourche Campus offers courses in computers, clerical, carpentry, and welding. The Technical College is well known for its carpentry program which bids out and builds a house at the school. Then the house is moved to its lot in the Thibodaux area.
