Ryan Perque
Friends of Bayou Lafourche
Ryan Perque, Executive Director for Friends of Bayou Lafourche, has a background in public outreach, marketing, project management, governmental relations, and non-profit leadership experience. He is a Thibodaux native and alumnus of E.D. White Catholic High School and Nicholls State University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in business management. Ryan previously served as Executive Assistant to the Mayor of Thibodaux for several years before he accepted a position with a construction company where he managed community relations, business development, and marketing. He is the past president of Thibodaux Main Street, former secretary of the Nicholls Alumni Federation, Board Member for The Creole Classic Charity Fishing Tournament, and a part of several other volunteer based organizations.
In his position, Ryan’s goal is to collaboratively improve recreational access, beautification initiatives, and economic development opportunities while keeping the community informed about happenings in and around the bayou. He aims to tap into the unlimited potential of the bayou both by building projects along the bayou as well as creating programs to utilize the bayou.
