  • GOVERNMENTAL AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

    Members of the Governmental and Public Affairs Committee (GPA) should be actively engaged in the following activities. The Committee should be diverse in its membership and should address issues and problems as a group resource rather than a committee of “one.” This committee works to address issues of quality of life for the residents of the City of Thibodaux and the surrounding areas. . Monthly meetings will be held by the full committee to address issues and recommendations of local, regional and national concern and to make recommendations on any acation to be taken to the full Board of Directors. Much of the work of this committee will be accomplished through informational workshops, training, and seminars. All Chamber Members in good standing are eligible to participate on the GPA Committee.  The areas of focus to the GPA Committee include:

    Community Development Issues
    Educational Issues
    Health Care Issues
    Tourism
    Downtown Beautification
    Governmental Issues Concerns
    Voter Awareness
    Public Forums/Debates

    ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

    THIBODEAUXVILLE FALL FESTIVAL COMMITTEE

    Members of the Thibodeauxville Committee works to arrange for vendors, permits, layout, and all that is involved in organization of the annual festival. Committee members will ensure sufficient numbers of volunteers on the day of the festival.
