Bayou Lafourche spans 106 miles, and is the drinking water source for approximately 300,000 residents! It is vital to the success of our community, so volunteers join BTNEP to remove roughly 20 to 22 tons of trash every year!
Details:
- Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Please bring a water bottle to cut down on trash, refilling stations will be available.
- A t-shirt, gloves, trash bag, and data sheet will be provided to each volunteer.
- Snacks and lunch will be provided at SELECT locations.
- Volunteers with boats, or kayaks/canoes are encouraged to bring them.
- If you have access to a private launch, or own property on the bayou side, please let us know.
